Wow, that's a deal on that tail Degsy! I need one of those things for my YZF. Speaking of that, anyone need bodywork? I found a pretty competative site out there. The address is www.morsefiberglass.com. Double Apex picked up LP as a sponsor and even our discount pricing was more than they wanted for the tail I need.
Hey Degs....do we have to rejet???
Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.
Nope, don't have no jets!!!
I also just received my Akrapovic full Ti race system though, so we need soon to do some tuning work.
Anyone know a dyno shop that would donate some time and expertise in exchange for stickers on the bike?
Degsy
Milled out the part that holds the ignition switch and stamped NESR on it, and slightly polished the clamp. Looks more like a factory special piece now. Bling bling.

Degs,
I sent ya a PM ya read it yet?

Thanks to Steve (snaggle) I have just snagged a set of world supersport HRC electrics for my racebike. Comes with HRC programmable ECU (no power commander needed), software for programming it, full HRC wiring loom (cuts out ignition switch and all lighting), HRC guages, adjustable tach and shift light etc etc etc. Woohoo!!!
Degs
HRC..........nice degs!
i'm gonna need you to get rid of my key/ignition set-up if you can. holla back when u get a chance...
peace
Glad you could get it. Sounds sweet!!, Does this mean we no longer have to figure out the total loss ignition?
'04 600RR
No, it means that we don't have to figure out how to bypass the ignition/lock unit. The kill switch on the right handlebar is now the ignition instead of the key assembly.
I decided against total loss ignition as it is too tricky and risky to use.
Here's the HRC electronics kit.
The item in the plastic bag is a new ECU. Wiring harness, Instruments, ECU with rubber mount, ECU mounting bracket and rubber strap, Ignition pulsar, kill switch, bank angle sensor, programming interface cable. This is the FIM race kit.
and yes, you read correctly, that tach goes up to 17000 rpm!!!
Degs
That is too cool!!!
Shift light..Heehee!!![]()

I am doing some major work on the bike this weekend. I will be reassembling the front end and putting the race exhaust system on as well as fitting my HRC electrics and probably starting the motor for the first time.
Any of you local peeps who want to swing by to help out and have a beer or two are welcome.

This is a kiddie weekend for me so I'm out,

Did some work this weekend.
Spencer (DaSpence) came over and helped me revalve the forks and put the front end back together. Couldn't install the exhaust system as it wouldn't fit with the bike on a stand so that will go on when the wheels are painted and refitted to the bike. The HRC electrics haven't arrived yet so that will have to wait also.

Yep it was a fun weekend working on the the F4i with Derek. I learned a lot with forks and tools and vocabulary of parts. We came to a few dead ends due to "special tools" but it worked out fine. Can't wait to work on the bike again.![]()
Why am I scared about this "special tool thing" ?
