You can't get that shiny coat with less than three coats....

2022 Husqvarna fe501s
You should have been able to do this without taking the tires off. Looks great though!
Did you weigh before and after?
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief
looks great.
depending on application and number of coats, it's pretty durable stuff. they make a clear coat or you can wax it to help durability. the lip won't withstand a tire change though.
my truck wheels have been coated for a little over 2 years. looked great until a tire change but all i need to do is respray the lips.

how many cans did you use, ben wanting to paint my rims red and this seems like an inexpensive and non-permanent way to do it.
Here they are on the bike
Total cost was around 35. I bought two cans of plasti-dip and two rolls of painters tape. One wide one narrow. The tape was the expensive part. I think the wide roll was like 12 while each can of plasti-dip was 7.
I used less then one can to do what I did. I did not do a before and after weight but one can of plasti-dip has 11oz in it. I probably have at least 1/4 of a can left so I may have added 8oz of weight to the wheels combined. The biggest pain was taping everything off.
It did ok. I was being pretty careful when I did the mounting and tried to set it up so when I used the iron it was on the black section. There are marks but you have to look for them. I do have my doubts if it will survive a track tire change in good shape but I wont find out until next season.
I was looking at it today, For the price and the ability to take it off if you don't like it is great I think.
I'm going do my rims in red and add metallic and pearl flake to it.
Did you use a clear coat too? And how many coats did you do? I was thinking just get 2 cans for both rims but maybe i'll get 3 cans to be safe
did you re-balance them after spraying half the wheels?
Skip the plastic dip and get the real deal after you sell me those rims!
