If anyone wants to try to fit the 06+ r6 throttle on there (may work on g2 not sure, may just need longer throttle cables), I'll sell it to you for 10 bucks. I paid 20.

Digging this thread up - looking to get a throttle kit.
It looks motionpro DOES now make a gen 1 kit here (?) or at least SVRP has put one together with the right cables

Separately there is the yoyodyne kit

Both are quality companies, so I'm not worried about that nor do I care about the price.
But wondering if anyone has experience with both of these? Especially if you know if either of them's quickest cam offers a quicker turn cam than the other brand. I need the shortest throw possible given a bad wrist so if there is a difference that would make the decision for me.
Thanks!

Turns out MP stopped making the gen-1 specific kit and there are none in stock anywhere. SVRP had the Yoyodyne (eurothrottle) one available so I ordered that. They told me the quick cam on that is the same quickness as the quick MP one. So we'll see!

G1 has carbs. G2 has throttle bodies.
The cable linkage ends are different.
I asked if it was the same unit and just with diff cable sets across bikes, and the guy said no (not that he couldn't have been wrong). So that's what drove me to just go with the yoyo since it was available.
I understand there's also a different kit for gen 1 with flatslides (one direction only (?)) vs. traditional carbs (push/pull). My bike is stock so I just need the regular one.

I have never seen a bad product from Yoyodyne.
