The 6-7 one is much less likely to highside you than the 3-4 one... so I'll take 6-7 all day long LOL
Or maybe the risk is the thrill
edit: lots of movement on my r6 up 4... not so much on the SV anymore. then again i'm still figuring it out.

I've never really slipped 3-4.
Except when I high sided the shit out of myself as a novice on my ex500 when my pipe picked the rear up off the ground.

I've had the SV step out in 3-4 in the dry. I chalk it up to bad bp combined with a poorly setup bike.
And lose your brake pads when they got low!

It was never a question, it was absolutely against the rules as written. There was a "gentlemen's agreement" within the EX Mafia to never call another member out over it. Had I stayed in the class and wanted to push the issue I could have protested. A few big names were also doing stuff like skipping head gaskets (just using chem bond) to bump the compression a touch, etc that was also officially out of the rules. I even went as far as making rules proposals that would ok all the stuff in the off the books agreement and get it on paper but the class died on it's own so who cares now.
Might have been base but I recall head for some reason. It was quite the surprise to find which is why it's stuck in my head. Sans a pesky gasket to get in the way Loctite 515/518 can do amazing things on an aluminum motor... Can also make it a PITA to take apart down the road, but when you're questing for ponies...

New plan for October : Musical bikes, when the music stops lights go out, jump on whatever's closest and go
