and as far as scott vs myself... 1) can't compare his skill to mine, he'd beat me on a stock gs500 with wooden wheels and a sidecar i bet.... 2) its true, my bike isn't exactly competitive (as it sits right now). I'm working on it....maybe i'll end up with a new bike, who knows yet. I doubt a podium finish is right around the corner for me in the expert mw class....when i bumped i was excited to race against all super-human fast guys at LRRS, turns out the only time i see them is on the grid

Haha sorry Ryan, I hate to use examples of people I dont know real well, but I read a number of your posts about your bike and such and figured Id throw it in as an illustration. And I happened to hang out in the pit next to Scott and saw Rob there taking his bikes around and stuff, so once again trying to use an illustration, not trying to take anythign away from either of you. Both of whom could blow me off the track without even trying.

Wont run GTL? they spit the am/Ex GTL usally its just a longer race, Not the red flag Come back at the end of the day festival novice one are.

no worries! you were exactly right.... i'm kinda stuck, i've been told by a number of people my bike wont go much faster until i spend some money on it. (my stock rear shock had a lot to do with those comments). i still have a ton to learn as a rider though.

20 minutes is too much for you Doc? Why bother tracking down an ST3 then? It'll just be warming up and you'll be looking for some place to take a nap. Why don't you invest in an Ural Patrol (PTwins legal?) and ride in the sidecar while someone who has the stamina to walk and chew gum at the same time totes you around the track?

Riding a couch for 20 minutes is ALOT different that riding my 800ss for 20 minutes

I've raced against a Monster 620 last year. Going down the straight it was a slaughter. I don't mind racing against them at all. It's one bike that you could toss a lot of money at but the EX will still walk all over it.

I thought the 620s had over 60hp out of the box? Doesn't make much sense that the EX would walk those on the straight...

Yeah, a 620 should be yanking HARD vs the EX500 on the straight. 60RWHP out of the crate, 20 to 30lbs lighter, only thing hurting it is the lack of a fairing. It's just the dang exhaust set that you really need to work around.
