    Keeping the skill set fresh

First 'league' night of the series last Sunday at MIK. We started with a four bike grid, but a pile up during qualifying wrecked one rider's top clamp. So, this vid is the main event, with a whopping 3 of us out there... Damn snow storm...

In any case, we're definitely not on pace, MIK put in a new track layout, and the big turns are now areas where the karts haven't laid down much rubber, making for REAL slick riding. Still trying to find good lines in the infield as well, that right / left double hairpin combo is no fun on a 4' wheelbase. The unseen in this vid 4th rider is on a stock Honda 50, and he makes ALL his time on us in that one section.

Oh, and Doc, this track makes your VT track look HUGE, so yes I think big minis will work fine out there. : )

    Oh, GoPro Cameras rock!

That section with the 2 foot tire walls and the Cars parked on the other side scares the shit out of me

After three years, we've sill not come close to tagging one of those cars. If any layout is going to do it, it'd be last years, we were COOKING past there on a tear as a primary passing spot.

I'm with QuarterGig, it's all I know. Hell, I still try to go knee down when riding on the ice too...

On the old layout, the knee down guys held the advantage till the last couple of sessions when Nate was starting to figure out a good foot out dirty style line. Then there was Growler, knee down, foot out, never any rhyme or reason, he just did whatever amused him that particular moment, and was damn fast either way.

My bike won't put up with going foot out and pushing the bike down under me, tire profile isn't round enough. QuarterGig's mount on the other hand can make it work if he can find someone to teach him that ride style. I certainly can't.

Growler is nasty. I had the pleasure of watching him and Scotty James on the ice 2 weekends ago!!!
