Wow, ASRA's coming back? After the lack of interest this past season?
SWEET! I love qualifying! (how ever far back it grids me)
How soon until they post the updated rule book?
Thanks!

Dunno. It'll probably be out around the time of the banquet.

I also wonder about the daily schedule. Any changes?

No idea, we are not going to have the usual meeting at the banquet, we'll just send our ideas to Don. The meetings were too chaotic.
Note on the numbers issue: Last year I submitted wording from the WERA rulebook, which Don adopted. It made it easier on you guys as far as the numbers, but some people totally blew it. Read it again and note the wording as far as serifs on your "1"'s (I had three bad I.D.'s from cornerworkers who couldn't tell the sevens from the ones during the Labor Day weekend.) and placement of four inch numbers on your fairings if you want to play AMA Pro and put the single number on your tailpiece.
Notice we didn't have manual scoring this season. Our Geek Squad (Steve, Andy and Graham) wired up the tower and had some bitchin' remote control cameras on the fence at the Start/Finish line. In order for the Starter and these cameras to be able to ID your bike, the rulebook will be addressing legibility of the front numbers. We looked at the WERA rule, which requires a centered set of front numbers regardless of the location of the air intake scoop. What we will most likely require is that if you can't center your numbers then two sets of front numbers will be required, one set on each side of the scoop.
Look for an announcement on an exciting addtion to the Loudon Classic program!
