"A quick history lesson on how the LRRS group came to be.
AAMRR was the original racing club here in NE started by Bob Pepper and later run by another small group until the mid eighties before running into financial issues. These problems caused AAMRR to evaporate (mid-week, just before a race weekend was planned to be run). Ted Goddard, who was the Track Operations Manager at the time, called me (Steve Aspland) and told me of the problem and asked if Penguin racing School could help cover the insurance for the weekend. I said “you need to talk to Jerry Wood about that”. Jerry then called the AMA who sent people out to NE on two days notice to manage and insure the event. Most of the riders never even knew that there was a problem and that these changes had been made. Ted then looked at a bunch of us and said “if we are going to keep racing alive in NE you guys need to help”. That is how LRRS came to be. Don Hutchinson – Race Director, Jerry Wood – Safety Director, Fred Mitchell – Referee, Steve Aspland-Assistant Referee, Karen Hornbecker – Medical and many more volunteers all worked to make this what it is today. Now the LRRS is group is owned and managed by SMI (the corporation that owns the NHMS) and they are working to continue this tradition of fun, safe and some of the most competitive Amateur class motorcycle racing in the USA! "
Just curious when this happened. It is no longer LRRS vs "the man". LRRS IS the man.![]()

I'm going to say roughly 10 years ago. It was a partnership with Don Hutchinson. Don put on the events that weren't held at Loudon under the GP/PRO banner.
The last LRRS points paying race held outside of Loudon was at Pocono in 1999. Bob Bahre bought Don's half not that long afterwards.

On March 7, 2008, the AMA Pro Racing series was sold to the Daytona Motorsports Group (DMG), headed by Roger Edmondson and Jim France. The DMG will be responsible for the AMA Superbike Series, the AMA Motocross Series, the AMA Flat Track Series, the AMA Supermoto Series, the AMA Hillclimb Series and ATV Pro Racing. The sale did not include the AMA Supercross and AMA Arenacross Series, whose rights are currently owned by Live Nation. DMG will license the AMA name and trademarks to promote the motorcycle racing series'. The new management has sparked criticism among some of the press and fans for allegedly alienating the factory teams and for introducing NASCAR style rules such as rolling start and pace car this information is direct from wikipedia.
On November 2, 2007, SMI announced the purchase of New Hampshire International Speedway from Bob Bahre, and renamed the facility New Hampshire Motor Speedway. This has led to speculation that SMI would move one of New Hampshire's dates to Las Vegas Motor Speedway and/or swap the date with the fall race at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS has expressed an interest in moving the fall race away from the first weekend in November, which is also the opening weekend of deer hunting season in Texas). As of the 2011 NASCAR schedule, the date remain the same.[3] also from wikipedia
Welcome to the forum Mr Bahre?![]()

Perhaps she should stick to working corners and not try to talk when the grown ups are talking.

Not "confirmed" but yes its her. Same posts shes been posting on Facebook. And yes regarding her Man being a racer. Although ive never really talked with him much.
Shes actually a good corner marshall, flags T1 for all different events. Just seems to be making some interesting choices (poor choices in my opinion) lately with voicing opinions and thoughts through very public mediums.
Jackie for what its worth im not sure id call this group "grown ups"![]()
