I'm sure some of you have seen this article:

I'm just wondering if any of you have plans to enter the class???
Sunuva.... I had a brief conversation with Rich (?) from Pirelli down at NJMP last year. He said there was a possiblity of an SV/pirelli cup at NJMP for 2010... told him I'd be very interested. That was the last I heard of it though.
Guess this is what ended up coming of it.

I'd need white plates, a 600... and a bag full of skill to be class legal...
Or I could just borrow Berg's bodywork when he's not looking, duct tape it to the Katoom and get myself killed in new and interesting ways instead? : )![]()
$100 to enter. $300 to win. Net $200 not including price of tires. IMO bad move to spread 'purse' out over 51 CCS events nationwide. Should have consolidated into some 'big money' rounds.

I wonder what the rest of the spec equipment will be, could be pretty substantial...exhaust, rearsets, brakes, chain, oil, etc. All depends on who they get to sponsor the series...
I'm not sure how they can require all these spec parts (including suspension, which was mentioned), and expect to attract riders if the max purse per event is only 300 bucks.
No one is going to build a bike for that.
It sounds like Middleweight supersport with stipulations for the brand of tire and other add-ons... For example you're not going to drop 300 bucks on a different pair of rearsets to meet this spec, pay 100 dollars to race in it, then only make 300 bucks. Or worse yet a spec shock for 1200 bucks....

It's minimum of 300 for 1st and so on.The exact payout amounts are dependent on the size of the field, more riders mean more money, so it will reward those who participate against larger fields.
