If I was to go back and pick a new number, I'd pick one that is easiest to apply to your number plates. applying the number 5 sucks.

Nobody within LRRS has the same number, even in different rider classes. (Unless a snafu like in Alex's case) We can usually keep track of duplicates, even in the same race (like when Bob Robbins and Freddie Marsalisi race each other, Bob is out of region. When you look at the grid sheets, the out-of-region guy has a 4 digit number with a 7 in front. Bob's would be 7046) so we don't require "X" on the plate. We even went to the trouble of assigning 3 digit numbers beginning with "0" about ten years ago. This prevents any problems when a rider bumps up a class. They keep their number. Two digits for experts only, single digit for past class champions. I believe the rulebook said that class champions could put the #1 on the front plate only for the class they won it in only. PITA, most opt not to do it. At the officials meeting last February coming up with a system to award an overall #1 plate was discussed and I believe somebody is working on it. We did this with AAMRR.

actually new rules this year allow you to actually BUY a championship. if you buy a few bikes and pay for races in every single class that you possibly legally race in and then acquire points while doing so...at the end of the year the one with the most points get to run the #1 plate in all classes and be deemed the "Overall" champ.
which is pretty fucking dumb because lets say for arguments sake jeff wood comes in 2nd in MWSB but manages to win the overall because hes out there 10 fucking times a day. next year he gets the #1 and the guy who won MWSB cant run the #1? like i said....youre buying a championship....unless your last name is Wood since i find it hard to believe that they actually pay entry fees.

i tried to pick #s that didnt take up a lot of room since the rear is hard to fit #s on. 1s and 7s are pretty skinny so my first choice was 111, they gave me 110. you try to cram 659 on the tail of a new R6.

1.) RTMFRB
2.) Thanks JhonnyB (our grid marshall)
3.) The Woods pay:
I watched jeff's woman hand over cash to the window person at reg. Now,
they did not wait in line, went right inside and walked over to my window while I waited, but, after putting in as much as they do for our sport, I would not even let them pay the fees.
Don't worry about your number, concentrate on your lap times; the best thing to do is get something that is easy to stick as mentioned. Oxx has 110 and I've always thought that was smart. 111 would be better.
