My thoughts are with Chris and his family. Larry the idea of getting his bike back together and presenting it to him is great. One you get the registry set up I will certainly be willing to help with parts. I don't know Chris, yet I race (rather far behind) with you guys and I hate to see this happen to anyone. Sounds like Chris has some great friends!

Well the response seems to be favorable so I think we'll try it. I should have the bike stripped down by tomorrow or Thurs. and will have a list posted shortly thereafter. We may also set up a Paypal account for people who may want to help but don't have parts. Our goal is to help him help himself and this will help.
We will also be planning a fundraiser with donated items to be raffled. I'm told we may have an actual piece of the start/finish line from the old Bridgehamton, complete with white stripe still intact, possibly a brand new scooter, maybe a trackday or two, etc. Interesting stuff that can help Chris.

Larry, I know you have your hands full right now with everything that's going on. I really like the idea of rebuilding his bike. Being close to you guys, I'll gladly manage the whole bike rebuild if you'd like. PM me your thoughts. I can start the wrenching, posting, rebuilding process as early as Saturday. My thought process here is that it would free up just enough time for you to focus on generating money to keep him afloat.

If I recall correctly, Chris's bike is a second gen R6? I've got quite a few spares for that bike, so if you can get me a list of parts it'll need, he's welcome to anything I have.
Also, contact Jim Rich about the Karen Hornbecker fund. That may help with covering some of the immediate costs as well.

Im here in concern for Chris and his family, I wish you much streangth thru this ordeal, GodSpeed in your recovery!!! May I suggest a benefitt dinner where t shirts can be sold,and general donations can be accepted..I would be willing to help plan, cook,bookkeep,whatever!!
