The ventilator is still there but is set to only kick in if he cannot breathe for some reason, which hasn't happened. His lungs had been collapsed and they are now beginning to function well enough to breathe. So now we can too :)
Also he has opened his eyes but only for a moment or two at a time. She says he isn't reacting to her all that much yet but we're hoping that it's just his brain beginning to slowly wake up and testing the waters.
So a better weekend for Chris this weekend. And thanks for everyone's help.
*Good to hear! Wake up soon! God Speed in your recovery Chris*

Re: Rider #446 - Chris Dinoia - Slowpoke Racing
I had some catching up to do to read through this but I am SO happy to hear that he is showing some positive signs. He is quite a fighter.
If there is an auction going on I would like to donate 4 custom posters from mypostersnow.com to help raise some funds. It should go well with the high res photos that I recall someone offered =)

Re: Rider #446 - Chris Dinoia - Slowpoke Racing
That is AWESOME news. My friend James had an incedent at roebling road. It left him in a similar state as Chris. He woke slowley over the course of a couple weeks and eventualy made a full recovery. I hope the same for Chris.

Dude I got the stuff you sent today and all I can say is holy crap. You def spent some time collecting that stuff and packaging it carefully. There a little bit of everything there! We appreciate that and I think it'll get raffled off possibly at the next round if we can work that into the bbq that Tony has planned. Thanks again and you have a big heart.

Kate's brother David is a spectacular photographer and here's a link to an article he wrote about Chris. He was there on Sat. taking pics of us and enjoying another what we thought would be another typical weekend with Slowpoke Racing...

Re: Rider #446 - Chris Dinoia - Slowpoke Racing
Sweet Larry thanx for letting me know.Yeah mon long time collecting but those collectables were just collecting dust. Now they are hopefully going to bring some money for Chris.Thats important i know that some of the items are a bit trivial and may be not a collecters item, especially the picture of me and Kevin Swantz, but i guess i wanted to show some proof of the hats authenticity. However i hope these items will fair well for the family. Its my pleasure and honor to be able to help, were all in the same racers boat and one of our racemates is down its the least i could do.Please Larry let me know if there is anything else i could do to help.GOOOOOOOSLOWPOKERACING
