Street and Competition have billed me for the THIRD time for tires that I bought and paid for last May. I have been through administrative hell with them now on two other occasions because they say that I haven't paid my bill. Each time I send them a copy of my bank statement showing that I paid at the time and they told me the matter was closed. They just billed me again and I sent them a nasty letter telling them that I don't think this is the way to treat a Customer who has spent thousands of dollars with them in the last two years. I would urge all roadracers and streetriders to avoid Street & Comp, buy your tires from Dunlop. The service is better and more personable and the prices are similar. I always had the impression that Street & Comp were at the track solely for money, but the Dunlops guys seem to really enjoy being at the races.
That's all.

i told how they accused me of stealing the scotts steering damper.....
I've never trusted those guys, and I'd hafta agree with Degs. They've always seemed to be in it just for the money when they're at the track. Sure, they're accomadating enough. But I shudder when I see what they charge for summa the stuff up there...
We're just gonna hafta get JC up to the races with his tire changing schtuff!
I'll avoid 'em at all costs this upcoming season...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Ryan and the boys at Dunlop are tops! (in my opinion...)
Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.
Degsy, I thought you didn't like the Dunlop 208GP tires? you said the Pirelli/Metzler are a much better tire. Are you going to switch to Dunlop just beacause of Street & Comp?
ain't nothing wrong with Dunlops.....![]()

No, you must be thinking of Gerard. He loves Pirelli/Metzeler for the track.
I like Metzelers for the street but I prefer Dunlops for racing.

I have been dealing with them for two years and never had a problem. I just deal with Dan and i usally get the parts the next day. Dan's the one you have to deal with. Just my 2 cents.
I am open this year... Have you found a deal on Dunlops yet... Group buy or somethingOriginally posted by Degsy
