Any tards running a 5.5 rear?

Yes I have 5" rear wheel on my RMZ.

250's = 4.25
450's = 5

Does this mean that I can't hang with the cool kids if I run a 4.25? I have a 4.25 already. Seriously, what is the problem with running a 4.25? I am assuming that I should run a 150 DOT street tire on this setup.

I think Alex's point is optimal. Eric was running 22s on my motard with a 4.25 wheel.

I mean 5 inches is more optimal but 4.25 can do the work.
I dunno bout DOTs, but 160s seem to be the choice in slicks.

Optimal is 150 Some run a 160 But the profile is a little Wonked, I run a 150 Pilot power on my DRZ streetbike and it works great.

You guys don't know what you're talking about. I am running a 5.5 rear rim and I run the dunslop 165 slick with no problems on my crf. Yeah the chain rubs but who gives a fuck. Now as far as your yamahhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Nate I don't know but I would listen to the guy who formerly owned an R7.

4.25 is fine for trackdays and you can get some real good rubber in a 150.
