So I finally registered my bike and decided to take it for a ride. I got out onto the main road and when I got to the lights my brake went away. I have been trying to bleed them and I can't get a drop of brake fluid to come out. I had to stop because I want to kick the fucking thing over then beat the neighbors cat.
I bled them a couple months ago with now with no problem. Today I get nothing. No pressure, no fluid and no patience.

Get one of those brake bleeding pumps.

Or ride to boston w/ a bottle of dot 4 and I'll do it for you![]()
Brakes don't go from being correctly bled to suddenly needing a good bleeding. I'm guessing something else went wrong. Can you pump them up and get a firm lever? Any idea why they suddenly went away? Were they fine then "nothing"?
They felt fine when I left my house. I stopped once, then the second time they werent there. I had rear brakes and I rode it back to my house. I cant pump them up at all.

Sounds like a failed master cylinder or caliper. My guess would be MC. What year and model bike?
I second the failed master cylinder.
Just curious, did you check the brake fluid level. If there is fluid then I`m with stoinky and bergs on this one.
It's a 2003 SV650S Yeah I checked the fluid.

Should be easy to find a rebuild kit or an entire MC; that's a really common bike and it uses an MC found on tons of other bikes.
Any leakage at the calipers? Did a pad happen to fall out? If there's no obvious reason for the problem, buy and install a new MC, or rebuild yours.
If either the master or calipers failed, wouldn't the fluid be leaking? Or, to ask another way, is it possible for a hydrolic failure without a leak? Can't picture it...
Oh, wait...yes I can. If it's the Master Cylinder and the piston 'o rings?' fail then the brake fluid wouldnt be pushed to the calipers...but there would be no leak! Right?

try cracking the actual banjo bolts to see if you can get some fluid flowing...
If not, good chance of the failed master.
The best advice I’ve ever been given is to not forget where you came from.
I'm just going to bring it to the shop. I'm not really in the mood for fixing it right now. That and I'm being lazy.
