If you have a bleeder that's leaking by the threads even when seated, you need a new bleeder screw. The screw seals at the seat, not the threads. Ideally the bleeder is softer material than the caliper body, so if someone JAMMED it in there in the past, the conical tip of the bleeder is what deformed and not the caliper itself. Brake fluid will do mean things to teflon tape, so at best you've only delayed a repair by trying to fix the problem that way.

If a vacuum bleeder doesn't work then I would guess you either have air getting in somewhere or there's a bubble in the master.

All good but I often only get solid brakes by bleeding the bango same as
bleeder screw
crack while slowly pulling lever and if you can shut off before lever bottoms
rinse and repeat...joke do it till you don't see bubles plus 1... also sometimes after 1 week when use has got the air moving up in the system
