Coolant Change

Just curious; when I go to change my coolant, is there any major difference between standard good-quality auto coolant and the stuff sold by the manufacturers?

i just did mine and replaced the stock coolant with engine Ice, really doesn't keep the engine running any cooler than it normally did.

Buy the 50:50 pour it in

Make sure yuo know if there is an air bleeding procedure

I spend the extra $10 and buy the bike specific stuff just for peace of mind.

My bikes stay in an unheated garage, so I need antifreeze, any way.

Engine ice IS an antifreeze

Buy the honda stuff has an additive for aluminimmmnm....it is bike friendly

All have aluminum stuff now radiators are aluminum

Only two companies make antifreeze here in the USA. Dupont and Dow. Everything is repackaged.
