My end can is due for fresh baffle fiberglass as it has been 3 years.
Any advice on brand, type, etc.
I see that it can be had for less then $15 and in two forms.
I used a sheet last time and rolled it around the internal baffle like rolling up a sleeping bag and assume this is correct.
Thanks.![]()
Its all the same stuff, there is a real good video on Yoshimura's web site on how to repack..and yea wrap it and i use some light clear tape to hold it and slide it back in..

Get thin clear package tape.
Thinner the better. It actually melts off.
I've used 3 or 4 sections of safety wire in the past but I'm liking the packing tape idea.
When I repacked my two bros, I used masking tape cause that's what was there originally. I ended up having to replace the steel wool around the inner pipe too, which is held on by mechanics wire, kinda like safety wire but more flexible.
I'm a big fan of Silent Sport loose fill packing. It's a bit different than the traditional sheet glass because you pack it in evenly around the perforated core. You get a nice full even pack without spaces and it's lighter than regular glass too. They claim it resists breakdown better as well.

Eh, I wish you were closer to me. I have some packing that I most likely won't use, ever. I got some a while back and they inadvertantly doubled my order...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
