Hey anyone know how to raise the idle (05 gsxr 1k) Couldn't find any obvious adjustment like I'm used to. From what I can tell on google its solenoid controlled but I couldn't really find any direct instructions to change it.

Lift the tank...
Left side of the bike, folllow the throttle cables to where they attach to the left side of the throttle body rack. On the cam that the cables accuate, you will find two silver adjustment knobs. They are knurled and can be adjusted with your fingers. One of them should have some yellow paint on the threads. Don't touch that one. The other one is the idle adjustment.
Look at the picture below. On the left hand side of the rack is the cam. And you can also see the adjustment screws...

Hey let me know if this helps but its basically Lift tank.
Left hand side, end of the throttle bodies..mine is about 1100 as most are running, and do it at normal operating temp. not cold its DIff.

Thanks guys!
That made it really obvious.. knob next to the painted screw I couldn't miss that if I tried. Took all of about 2 minutes to pull open and adjust.
Idle was at about 850 - 950 and the engine sounded angry going that slow and would stall occasionally on decel. Cranked it up to about 1250 warm and it seems good to go. For some reason I assumed it was more complicated than a screw that opens the throttle body a little.

1000 to 1100, check. I figured you said 11, and the link said 13 so I'd set it between. Seems to be perfectly happy at 11 now.

yea -1 up front is about what I was thinking. Thats what I was running in the 954 and one tooth made a pretty noticeable difference.

Gas mileage huh? I suppose puttering down the highway at 4k would net some pretty good economy.
+3 in the rear should be pretty close to -1 in the front. Only difference is the wheelbase would get a hair shorter instead of a hair longer.

Some pics eh?
And yes! the Bstones on there definitely blow. As soon as I get a chance I'm going to pull the powers off my 954 and swap them on here. I always liked the pilot powers and I have a 1k set just waiting for some more use.
Didn't realize the slipper was adjustable, never had one before.. So far it hasn't slipped on me (that I've noticed).

Yea I'm so used to rev matching downshifts I don't think I used it much. Think I noticed it slip once on a hard downshift.

Haven't really, would look cool being a little shorter, but its definitely on the loud side as it is.
