What are the effects of putting a lowering link on my bike. Will it handel diffrently? and will it handel badly threw the corners? how easy is it to put one in? And what are my other choices to lower my bike? which is the best?
yes, yes, pretty easy, no choices really.
Why do you want to lower the bike? Are you short? If so, have you tried shaving the sides of the seat down? That has helped soem people.
IMO the only reason to lower a bike is if it is going to be a drag bike. I had a lowered sportbike before because i didnt know any better and it handled like dog shit. I could not hold a line in a corner.
Really the only way to lower it is to get longer dogbones and drop the triples down the forks....
You should have posted this in the suspension forum....maybe Dr. Kates has a better solution
I had my triumph daytona lowered by the dealer when I bought it. It handled great. I would say it is important to Lower the front the same amount as the rear to keep the geomtry similar
ive ridden my old katana which had lowering links on it and i hated it and alos an f4i which was even worse that was lowered in the rear correctly but had the fork tubes sucked up through the trees.. bahhhhh get some big ole plat form shoes
i bought the lowering links for my f4i... glad i didn't end up lowering it.. i just adjusted to the bike.. depsite my shortness.. a whole 5'5 .. haha
so if anyone wants some lowering links for the f4i.. let me know

it wasnt bad in the truns but i def had to work it as hard as my katana wich wasnt bad for me but it would have been a great drag bike![]()
