I have an 08 GSXR1000. I noticed that the Stock Steering Damper is a little loose. The Red Arrow is the screw/nut I tried to tighten, but it didn't move. The Yellow Arrow is the assembly that is a little loose. I went to the dealer at Parkway, and the guys there showed me other Gixxers that had the same play on them. Is this normal?

Normal. It's called a heim joint.
What blue arrow? You color blind?
What's loose is probably the ball joint, which is pretty much what you're pointing to. The ball joint is there to allow the forks to turn. It's not supposed to be rigid.
EDIT: Heim joint... yeah, that. Thanks Degs.

There is semi-spherical bushing in there...when you're cranking down on that bolt, you're putting pressure on the bushing not tightening the joint up (which is supposed to move around freely).
Oh I didn't crank the bolt. I just tried to tighten it a little, and had no give so I left it alone. I'm too Chickento go Beefy Mits Crazy tighting bolts on Baby.
