Want to put "audi" type lights on my f4i. Im really just doing this as a side project because I literally know nothing about anything electrical. I am not into ground effects lighting and all that junk, but for some reason the audi style lights always catch my eye on a bike. Plus its a project I can do on my bike.
I just purchased these : https://www.oznium.com/side-emitting-led-strip
and am wondering what the best way is to wire these into my bike?
If I want them to only be on when the bike is on, do I wire them directly to the battery? Do I tap into the left headlight wiring?
If I want to take it a step further and put them on a switch, what do I do for that?
Any responses please put in laymans terms. Im a noob with this stuff. Hence the project.

I would wire them up just like this, using some sort of "always on when the bike is on" light, either a running light or a headlight that doesn't turn off when the high beams are turned on. If you do it to a switched source then you don't need that on/off switch in the top left unless you want to be able to turn them off at times.

I was hoping to wire them independently from everything else so if I wanted to take them off it would be quick and easy.
Any ideas?
If you want them to work independently and on a switch you can just wire them using a simple 4 wire (bosch style relay) but since you mentioned you don't know much about wiring it might be best for you to go out and just buy a "FOG LIGHT" wiring harness from autozone/pepboys and use that to wire up the lights. It should be simple enough to follow the instructions that come with those harnesses obviously replacing the foglights with your LED lights.

Any specific fog-light kit? Link?
Know of any write-up on doing the bosch style relay you referred to?
I would imagine, again although I do not know much about wiring, I could connect the 2 leds to a switch, and the switch directly to the battery or fuse box...? Am I way off?
You can do it that way, but then you risk them accidentally staying on and killing your battery. Do it just once and you will be pissed you didn't take the extra 30 minutes to do it right. The relay is easy to hide, and you can easily put quick-connects on the wire leads for the lights so they can just pop right off. Relays are cheap too.

Anyone know of any diagram similar to the way I want to do them?
any generic fog light/aux harness will work. Ignore the relay thing since the foglight harness will come with a relay.
Usually most people tend to try and stay away from wiring stuff directly to the battery especially when installing LED's, they tend to burn out very easily when they see too much fluctuation in voltage.
Relayed harness is the way to go. Look at it this way, just about all the components on your bike/car that pull power directly from the battery are relayed.

The circuit for the front running lights in the turn signals should be able to handle the addition of the LED's. For the cleanest install I'd look into getting the male and female connectors used on the existing wiring harness. Use these to make a T - the wire for the turn signal would pass straight through, the ground, and feed for the running light would have leads off of them to power the LED's.
