It's slot right in. I know a racer with a GS450 twin sporting GS500E forks, wheels and swingarm. I don't recall the class though. I think the displacement rules in that one would allow you to run a 500 top end for a cheap and easy bore up job.
Period 4 Formula 2 - Up to 650cc max for air cooled four strokes. You may be able to get it in under Period 3 MW Prod as the 77 and 76 were essentially the same bike. P3 has more build restrictions than P4.
