ill just start by saying that ive never posted online before ,i need some help, i dont really know how the rules work with the classes and times, and all that happy stuff. this past weekend was my second weekend ever on the track, i did the last race of the year last season on a penguin rental bike and loved it! so needless to say i got a bike and raced in the season opener and had a blast!!ive heard it goes off times before you get bumped to amature?and i also heard that i needed to get a 1:25 a 1:23 and a 1:21 by three separate people so im not sure what it is?and i couldnt find it in the rule book. my best lap was 1:22.8 and was running in the 1:23s most of the weekend. what should i do? besides go faster lol. i hope someone can help! thanks
what are you riding? 23's is the threshold for mw. anything lighter weight than that, you should get yourself some yellow.

Second weekend ever at track and your PB is a 1:22? I really don't think you are doing that bad.
What kind of bike you're racing will help people answer regarding the time you'll need to advance to amateur.
Swing by the RSP Racing garage during the next race weekend if you've got any questions while you're at the track, we'll be happy to help get you steered in the right direction. We're in the Center garages, unit closest to the front straight, on the back end of the Pirelli garage.

23 is the threshold. you've surpassed that, so i expect when you go through reg, your number will appear in yellow. if it doesnt, and you want it to, just ask.

Stop by any number of places to meet friendly faces and ask any questions you want - ECK, LDR/Turn 1a, and RSP (for example) are all well represented on NESR and very helpful at the events.

the Rulee book has all the answers
http://www.nhms.com/documents/2012-lrrs_rulebook.pdf
to your specifc question the times are as follows:
5.5.1.5 2012 Starting Advancement Thresholds
5.5.1.6 Novice Heavy Weight - 1:23
5.5.1.7 Novice Middle Weight - 1:23
5.5.1.8 Novice Light Weight - 1:26
5.5.1.9 Novice Ultra Light Weight - 1:27
Advancement is automatic if you beat the threshold times. I do the advacements and only one racer advanced.
If you think you were quicker than the threshold, send me a pm with details (name race #, class, racer # etc) and I will look into it.

My fastest time was in practice on Sunday , I had a lot of traffic to go though in my rookie 2 race on Sunday,i was the 2nd wave ,hopefully that time counts. And I don't know what pm means?

Practice times do not count.
You're well on your way, looks like you'll have to wait another race. It'll be warmer, you'll go faster.

I just tried to register for round 2 and noticed my plates are yellow! I ran nowhere near the threshold for bumping to AM. Was there a wind/cold/snow flurries factor that was used to calculate theoretical times? Guess I need to call Miss Wanda.....
