Don't know if you noticed this yet, but this is available http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...2000-ktm250mxc
Ktm parts are no more expensive than Japanese dirt bike parts and support is fairly huge. Plus I'm moving and don't really have the space for it. Make me an offer![]()
Diz, KTMs are similar to Yams in that you can swap parts across huge swaths of their production years in many cases.
A 2000 KTM MXC "4 speed" is odd - That must be an SX, or an MXC with a later SX transmission. IIRC, in that year - 2000 - they made a 5 speed SX250, a 5 speed MXC250, and a 5 speed EXC250 (wider ratio).

There's truth and charm and beauty
And strangeness everywhere
The closer we examine
The more there's nothing there
rrrrring ding ding ding ding ding
whoa! people read my posts?
congrats!
now where are those darn pics
those yz125's were just so smooth & light without being violent and terrifying that I def. think it's a good bike for ya. Plus wind her out and she'll scare ya for kicks and will launch you through those whoops sections without any problems. I do recommend some rides with someone else on a 2-stroke because you will almost definitely have to re-learn how to use a bike's power when you go 2t...it just won't feel right at first.
