Sporty standard first bike on $3000 budget

A coworker is looking for a good starter sporty-ish but standard bike. He has ridden before and has his license. He is looking for something like an SV650n, Ninja 650, FZ6, etc, but is having trouble finding something. We've looked all over craigslist already and contacted possibilities, so I just wanted to see if anyone here had anything they had considered getting rid of.

If you've got something like the above you want to get rid of, shoot me a PM or reply here. $3000 or under is highly preferable.

3000 is plenty of money, but he probably is looking too new. He can definitely get a early 2000's sv650 for that kind of money...

01 sv650s 6500miles blue very good condition lowered but has original links. Asking $3000, but wiling to negotiate. Over $1500 is too much for me to offer, but I bet he'd take $2500.

Thanks for the info all. He ended up finding a local SV650 and picked it up yesterday.
