rctech is a great site for used RC

for filming and ease of flight I would definitely get a quad copter
My local hobby shop has them, and they are made for/with GoPro camera mounts. I will check it out for ya, I think they were about $700 though.

should be able to find a parrot drone 2nd gen for the 300 range, works with iphone or ipad and super easy to use and learn. otherwise the smaller stuff id look at a traxxas quad copter or sq1 with a little video camera.
I have one of the SQ1 quad copters, and there is NO WAY it could lift any sort of camera. It has to be a pretty powerful quad copter to lift anything but itself, that is why the ones made for the GoPros are pricey. Much larger and many more options on the larger units including GPS.

Watch the video, it has tons of tech built into it and it's pretty cheap.

Yes, go here and check them out. They need some mods to do it, but it can be done.

Parrot has its own. I try to stick with ground vehicles, I can't fly things to save my life and even I can control the parrot, lots of safety features as well the prevent crashes. And it can do flips, which is the wheelie equivalent for rc helicopters in my opinion.
Just got back from my local hobby shop and they had a bunch of the Blade 350QX's in stock, $469.00 complete. Got to check one out that they had on display and man are they cool, was hard to leave without one. Pretty rugged looking and I like the fact that it has the GPS return to home function built into it. There was a customer there that owned 2 of them and he said he loves them and has been having good fun using them. And like I said, even if you loose site of it, just hit the return to home sw. and it comes right back from where it started.

Did you ever get anything? I picked up the 350QX today, pretty awesome toy. Hitting Best Buy tomorrow for a GoPro to go with it.

Got a Parrot AR Drone for Christmas myself... haven't gotten to play with it too much but it's pretty fun. Wish the battery lasted longer on it though.
The AR Drone is a lot of fun to fly and really simple to setup to the tablet. I learned one hard lesson the first time I flew it outside. You can fly it by looking at it or by looking at the real time video feed. I didn't notice having the sun behind me made it nearly impossible to see what was happening on the video feed (flying by looking at the tablet). I lost sight of the drone in the video, looked up and...where is the drone? Fortunately it only goes a few hundred feet before exceeding the wifi link. Then it just hovers where it is.
Reading the reviews online it seems will keep doing the last command it was told to do. I guess it would fly away. I better start with the wifi extender.
^^^ Really good deal!
