I keep meaning it. I've came early this year. With moving I wasn't prepared. Bikes are both unloaded into the garage now, Honda is still ready from last season, and the KTM just needs a wheel swap after Hatfield.

Man, I guess I've been missing the ball...have ice tires all mounted up, but "down here" in Southwick, it hasn't felt like the ice riding season has started yet.

I need to get my act together and get the proper registrations in order and find a place to ride...

It has been surprising how much ice there is. But south and east of here it seems a lot less reliable. I've only been doing a handful of days a year for a couple of years. This year I have already got 4-5 quality days in.

I don't have plowing equipment, so snow is a really limiting factor for me. The early ice and flip flopping weather has provided a clean slate every time I have gone out. Now that snow is imminent I'm not sure when I will get out again.

I am also scoping local places to ride. Keys are drive up access, remoteness from neighbors, light use by ice fishermen.

Some locals here were talking the other day about ripping congamond in the areas where ice fishermen don't go. Sounds like it's been done before...good on drive up access, but far from remote in terms of neighbors

the local police are fairly dirt bike friendly so I'm thinking I should get a reg and give it a rip.

I will let you know if it happens if you feel like making the drive.

Yeah, I mean it is legal, so as long as you don't create a local racing league, neighbors have to deal.

BTW, I still have a 19" rear tire available FREE. It is a non-lined Kold Kutter type tire. It grips well, but you need to stay on top of screw maintenance. I have a bag of screws to go with it. For a budget conscious rider wanting to get out there, it's an option.
