Ive had two non o-ring chains. One is the one that came with my honda. There is under 20hours of woods riding and its shot. Its been shot. I have to adjust it every ride. Its getting replaced asap. Ive also had the DID MX chain which I thought was o-ring since it was in that section. Same deal as the stock chain. Garbage. PK has been running the regina oring chain on his bike for a while. That will be my next chain. Its 1/2 the price of a did erv3 and lasts much longer then a non oring piece of junk.
i dont run one on my 250F. standard, non o-ring chains have been lasting about 2 seasons for me, mixed terrain... plus i like that there's less drag.

I have had much better luck with O-ring chains. I use the Parts Unlimited brand chain with the cheap JT steel sprockets. If you want a matched set, try the YZ125 set that has a 13/49 combo which is close to a 14/52 ratio.
Buy a Regina chain and forget about it for about 5 years. Lube it like once a year. Good to go.

It runs!
Still waiting on radiator louvers so I don't have to ziptie the shrouds to the radiators, I've got to add some heat shielding to one radiator hose as it's awefully close to the exhaust, the clutch drags something awful, and the exhaust is bent to the point that I can't use the exhaust mount where the muffler ties to the expansion chamber, that also doubles as a side panel mount...
More Zipties to the rescue! : )
Oh, and I've got to put my numbers on. heh heh heh.
Edit: Stimilon 2011!

Any progress on the build?
It's been broken in at MX207 and Clough, I think I have the clutch diagnosed and I'm slowly dialing in the jetting.
