Nice, can’t wait to see the new whip.
I wish my wife got “so” drunk to convince her I need another new bike.
Maybe next year. LOL
Hope you’re not done for the season. Looking to get out a couple more times at least.
Let me know…
Congrats!

it's an awesome bike, we'll see come spring. too bad you didn't get to ride it in the current state, way more dialed.

i'm glad Chuck at LBI doesn't take picstalked to Dave when i was looking but he had something like 22 sold before any of them arrived.
brought it in yesterday, worked on it a few hours last night. so far very similar to the '19 but a few annoying things:
- the map switch is connected to the gas tank, you have to fiddle with the stupid connector when removing tank and the wire goes through the frame making the lead short. for whatever reason, i remove the tank a lot, this will bug me.
- the grab handles aren't part of the subframe anymore, they're a little further back and the handles themselves are part of the enduro light and extended fender. what a bummer. i'll have to see what they do on the RX. i don't plan to run the enduro fender but don't really want to chop it up either.
- flag style hand guards are nice in that they came with the bike but no clue how people use those floppy things in the woods. def an MX product.
- worked on the PC shorty silencer, it mounts up but isn't angled that great, bumps out too much. was bummed about that but the Scalvini carbon silencer with strap mount fits great. the stock can is comically large but also very quiet with a nice tone.
wait til you see it in personi thought it would be too loud / fancy with all the stupid logos but it's actually pretty tastefully done. removed a few extra decals like the swingarm graphic and a few others to tone it down some. absolutely love the color of the plastics with blue accents.
removing suspension next and sending out to AMP...

I thought the same thing about the graphics. Looks too busy.
Almost prefer the standard livery over the RE.
Black frame guards and seat would work wonders

Too many toys, not enough time.
hahaa, truth!
i dropped the coolant and oil, both crystal clean and proper heights ... had a mini stroke as i was removing the oil drain plug, was super hard to get out, figured it was cross-threaded but was only the rubber o-ring not seated right ... curious to see if ample lube was used on bearings, etc. i've heard the '22s have been showing proper use of grease throughout ... not sure if it was Chuck or the factory but i've seen a little dielectric grease on some connectors.
Beta 200RR
i thought so too, but the scheme grew quick on me in person. it's a stunning looking machine ... but still want to keep removing a few logos where possible.
we have same wave of length... swapped the super bright (and slippery) frame guards for Acerbis red/black guards and mocked up a Motoseat with black sides, blue topalso planning to try my black fork guards and the headlight will be swapped for MX plate with white background like the sides.
won't be using the red sprocket or red chain guide either, more toning down.
Beta 200RR
made some progress stripping her downoverall things are very similar but different, they def seem to be tidying up in areas. i've been happy to see lots of grease and thread-locker throughout.
the triangle above the head has way less wire jammed in there.
better org behind the headlight with a bracket to hold plugs.
coil and regulator got moved back which helps with that triangle area mentioned above. i'll be ditching the tstat so that blob in front of the plug will be cleaned up.
stupid diodes and capacitor are still used but much better position and mounting, just like i did with that last harness.
new air filter setup, curious how that will be. previous design had a thin handle that clipped under pressure over the filter, new design has a clip or grommet on each side.
couldn't get the PC shorty to work, tried some more but the stinger pipe is just at the wrong angle. i'll let it go with the '19 and use the Scalvini carbon. stock can is freakin' YUGE
shock will come off tomorrow then i'll box that stuff up.. .
