So I talked to New England dragway and they told me they'll allow the Can Am Spyders to race with the motorcycles now.
What I don't know is what exactly I need to do to make sure my spyder passes tech. They weren't very helpful with that.
Has anyone been drag racing up there? What can I do to make sure I pass tech and don't waste my time riding up there.
It's been a couple years, but I don't remember anything special about the bike during tech. If it'll pass a MA safety inspection, I believe you're good. Tires, brakes, etc.
However, the big 'gotcha' is they want a leather jacket/gloves. Not cordora/nylon. And SNELL helmet. DOT isn't enough, and you might want to contact in advance if you hope to use an ECE helmet instead. I suspect it's going to be a no-go. It seems a little odd, but I think they're just bound by the text outlined in an insurance policy.

I doubt you'll be quick enough to trip the requirement for leather pants. But pretty sure shorts won't fly.

Thank you for the info. I really appreciate it. I have to double check my helmet now. If my biggest problem is finding gear I should be ok. Thanks again.
Pretty sure you'll need a tether type kill switch. I used to drill a small hole in the kill switch and put light fishing line through the hole, and tied to a safety pin. Then hook the pin to the zipper on my jacket.

I was just thinking this morning how I should drag the rc51 for fun...
I double checked, I think it is only <11 seconds that need to do a kill switch. Well my helmet isn't 2010 snell, but I'm ok with finding gear and seeing how slow this spyder is in stock form lol.
