So I picked up this bike to teach my wife on and use as a pitbike...
I was wondering what people thought of this from in Japan.

Honda XR 100 Motard 2005: technical specifications

It has 12 inch wheels what are advantages/disadvantages to 12 inch wheels?
I have a friend stationed in Japan who could get me parts...

I am getting some parts off of this thing...


Basically the front end, rear wheel and rear shock. Which will give me 17 inch wheels.

Should I do that or should I just try to get the 12 inch ones?

it's a pitbike, the rules are the opposite as racebikes. you gotta make it as fast as possible before putting any $$ into suspension or tires. that way it's more fun when you're tanked and decide to go for a quick rip around the pits

don't listen to anyone here who says not to put money into it...buy whatever makes YOU happy...besides this IS a motorcycle (of all kinds) forum, right? if you wanted a ttr125, you'd go to a yamaha forum with a section dedicated to it...
