Let me double check it might not be so silly. and not sure if its a monster 1100 in the 2D or the 3D, one has an 851 I believe, maybe that was the superlight?? Not that that makes it difficult but the bike basically has to come all a part, probably not unlike pulling the engine from a Pannigale, where the engine is the frame.

The motors do vary by model 1D vs 2D (1000 DS) vs 3D (1100), but I was told by the current owner of 6 Bimota (one mono, one Yamaha, 2 Tesi and a couple others) that the Tesi requires pulling the motor to do valves/belts, and the shortest part of the whole job is working on the engine vs getting the bike apart. He might have a clue about them.
