Which '07 liter bike would you pick up this winter and why. I think I would be able to get any of them as an '07 leftover for under $10k easily. I had been considering picking up another TLR this winter, but now am back on the idea of financing new.

Honda for looks and durability, Gixxer for fun factor. The Gixxer has a meaner mid range then the Honda and better forks.
R1 sooo sexy, I'm yet to ride one tho
gsxr, just because its reviewed to be better. I have no experience on any of them, but typically testing tells the truth.
I've heard the new generation R1's are supposed to be gnarly. R1 would be my vote.
R1 for the looks
Unless you have several years experiance on the track, or your some sort of immortal it wont matter. If your only using it on the street...it wont matter
All that matters about the new 1ks is what looks best to you.

Can't go wrong with any of them. Or the ZX10, the handling is incredible.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
i'm a kawi guy at heart so i'd buy the ZX-10R. not for any logical reason like it's superior to the others or something...i just like those green ninja bikes. it's actually a pretty good time to be liter (or 600) supersport shopping. it's not like you can screw up and buy a crap bike. any of them will do.
...if you are buying a new liter bike going stricktly off the magazine performance test numbers... well, you might be a squid.
If you're not overly concerned about power delivery (R1's still got a "lazy" powerband), the '07 red R1 is hard to ignore. That is a nice looking bike. Yamaha fit & finish is top shelf, and their engine requires minimal maintenance. If you're buying a literbike for power, the Suzuki seems to trump all comers. The ergos are kinda compact for a taller rider.
Go sit on each of them and then decide what feels right for you. Go with what your heart tells you, the differences in the cosmetics that tickle your fancy..I can't imagine that the performance differences really matter to an average rider.
sit on each of em.... for me, the gsxr is sooo much more comfortable than the R1... now that may be because I'm smaller and shorter, but the R1 is a very aggressive stance.... but performance wise the gsxr and the r1 are pretty comparable... i dont know about the honda tho... my .02
If I buy one of these would any of you buy my 954rr. I got a great deal but they will not take a trade in.
Be clear, the R1's short-stroke motor does have a serious bog in power delivery. Not that it's boring or not satisfying, but it does not have that linear pull like you might expect from a 1000cc engine. You do have to ride around it, compared to other bikes with more robust torque curves. Even on the street.
I have an 05 gixer and it is the best thing i ever owned
13K and it 100 percent never used a drop of oil etc.
Burns through rear tires every 2800
maybe selectable power for the drone home not so stupid

Hard to go wrong... Realistically you're choosing between 3 bikes that are almost un-streetable. Try to ride one legally (in the meat of the powerband) in anything above first gear. Or... try to keep the rear from spinning or the front end from lifting if you're in 1st gear... They're really kind of silly bikes, actually. Really fucking cool, but silly.
^+1
i'd rather ring the poop out of a smaller engine and have more fun than always be worried about getting right-hand happy with a large motor. then again, I'm into the motard thing on the street
have you seen this?

I would just get a 600. That way it would leave people guessing about my penis size.
