Ahmet's was an 1150, as is Eric Rowe's, been on both, yes big, I rode a MotoGuzzi Norge once that I liked better

Yup, went quick! Dropped it off to the new owner this morning. He's going to love that top end hit, he's a HP guy.

GS is still en-route. Probably be here by Friday/Saturday.

Wow, Swift tone had it posted for sale for almost 9 months before you grabbed it. Congrats.

Looking forward to your test ride report of your new bike.

Yankee Beemers is having a breakfast Sunday morning at Vanson. Last time we were there they had some terrific closeout deals.

No club in the world cares less about what you are riding but there will be plenty of GS’s of all sorts as somehow they remain very popular.

    Sunday June 16,2024, 8:30am
Ride to Eat at the Vanson Leathers
951 Broadway, Fall River, MA 02724

Our friends at Vanson are hosting our monthly meeting, great ride in bike show. 50/50 Raffle, club store has T shirts and hats.
Come one come all, the parking lot fills early. Members lead rides all over southern New England after breakfast.
All bikes welcome, bring your friends!

    Re: GS Curious

    One hell of a machine.

Ice cream run done already to Kimballs in Jaffrey.

This is exactly what I wanted in a bike. Smooth, comfortable, effortless acceleration, absolutely happy to lug around at 3k rpm in 6th gear. Geared REALLY tall in 5th/6th, going to eat highway miles easily.

    The suspension is amazing.

Stock seat height is lower than the S1kXR and my 890R in track setup. Going to try the Sargent seat on it next.

Does not feel as heavy as the scales tell you, even with a full tank. Effortless low speed maneuvering.

Electric motor like torque everywhere. It WILL wheelie.

Need to get all the recalls done on it, and figure out how to transfer the extended warranty. Probably put some Michelin Road 6's on it once these stock tires are done. They still have the little nubbies on them, all wear is right down the middle at it's 4053 miles.

    Re: GS Curious

Went through Dublin around 9:30am yesterday after ripping up 119/Fish Hatchery Road/32 to Keene for breakfast. Was wondering if I was going to see you riding through again. Took the road down towards Monadnock, then around Thorndike on the dirt roads.

Nice little route. Leaving before the family was awake was key.

I'd be down for some sort of trip on this thing soon. Probably get at least a rear tire on it first, depending on how much dirt and what type we'd be doing. I'm not looking for hard stuff with this thing quite yet, she's still too pretty.

Every time I try to post my full long winded thoughts on this bike, I get kicked out of the forum and can't access it from any device on my public IP for 15 minutes.

This thread brings up a secondary topic….

What does your work day riding gear look like? I’m struggling with this category on my Multi and been Moto-commuting yet. I have several months where I’ll be in office 3-4 days per week so plenty of opportunity to ride. My in office attire isn’t well suited to Moto-commuting.

I have a jacket, pants and boots specifically for commuting. I use a Rev'It Downburst (a motorcyclegear.com exlusive variant of the Tornado 3) jacket. The Sand jacket would also be a good option. For pants I use a pair of Sand 3 pants in one size larger than I would normally wear (I sized up to XXL) to use as overpants. I like the Tornado/Sand line because they are pretty versatile with the liners. I generally hate jackets/pants with liners, but for commuting they work well, as you can just throw them on in the morning very easily.

Boots I just use my Toucans, and I have a pair of sneakers I keep at work in my cubicle.

Any carry-ons or extra clothes I just stuff in my boxes.

    Re: GS Curious

Pretty similar to what I have available to me, Scorpion Yosemite pants and jacket. I haven’t tried putting the riding gear on over my office attire, but I can’t imagine it’s comfortable.

Maybe I just need to bring the office clothes with me and change when I arrive/depart. We do have a locker room…I think I’m just being lazy and want a solution that doesn’t really exist.

when I had to go into the office this was my choice, I would just leave a few outfits in my office so I didn't have to pack up each morning, drive the car on friday and swap out worn for next weeks new outfits.

    Re: GS Curious

Regular boots (Sidi Adventure) with a pair of “dress sneakers” I leave at my desk
Aerostich roadcrafter one-piece, on/off in 15 seconds over my work clothes
    Helite vest over that
Suit and vest get locked in the top case, so I’m only walking in in my boots and carrying my helmet
