So, a little bit of an odd question, but most of you usually have at least some entertaining, if not good suggestions. It looks like I'll be coming into the ownership of a 1989 HD Sportster, not sure of the exact model, but it started life off as an 883, and has the paperwork and evidence of being upgraded to a 1200. I was thinking of making something just to putt around on, commute occasionally, just go ride. Not a big fan of choppers (although I love the look of some beefy bikes like Exhile, Confederate, the HD fat bob), just looking to see if anyone has worked on these and knows any problems, quirks, whatever that might come up. Thanks.

I didn't know a piglet could get that big?
883 to 1200 cc sounds kinda large. Usually it is around 1100 when they do the big bore kit. IIRC
You could do a reverse of what the Harley guys do. Charge $5 a whack with a sledge hammer.![]()

Shit, I just screwed with my phone for about 15 minutes to get that same pic, you beat me to it. I think one of the moto-mags recently did a write up on the storz kit. Pretty sweet looking, and you can buy it separate pieces too.
DOC, 1200 kits are standard. I say cafe it or give it to me![]()
Drive it to Honey Dew, park it, sit around and talk.
If that doesn't work I'd cafe it.

For good work and straight talk on Harleys, check in with Paul Morrissey at Aero Cycle on Boston Ave. in Medford.

Buell 1200 EVO motors are same so you can put parts over into one. They aren't cheap but you can find 4valve heads for harleys actually.
Like I said they say, nothing stops a party barge.
