Now that you've tracked down the failed part you need to track back through the system and figure out why it failed. MAP sensors, O2 sensors, etc. Something in the fuel injection wasn't working right, and caused the cat to get plugged up. Cat converters don't just die - they are usually killed...

well i replaced the plug. i "assume", rout cause of my problem according to Honcliffer, sensor problem would lit up the FI light.
the converter could be crapy and could be melting. doesn't look like it thru the end hole. someone pointed out it happened before.
as for the injectors, im just gonna run cleaner throu it now and then.
