Larry thank you so much for this update, it really made my day. I cant wait to get to meet Chris in person at some point, and if he continues improving as he is, it will be sooner rather than later!
Chris is very fortunate to have a friend and teammate like you and it was a pleasure to meet you in person this last weekend.
The LRRS community truly is outstanding. I was fortunate enough to be one of the folks who helped put things together in a very small way and it was awe-inspiring to see it come together in such grand style. I had visitors who came from 4hrs away to watch me race on Sat so I couldnt stay for the BBQ (made sure to donate though!) and as we were heading out to go to dinner with them, there was NO ONE in entire camping area. The fact that literally EVERY PERSON at LRRS was there in support of Chris truly is a humbling and inspiring thing.
Thanks again for the update Larry and please pass along to Chris that we are all wishing him a speedy and complete recovery.

"Greetings:
For those who haven't heard Chris's progress has been remarkable in the last few days. He's totally independent of all machines, tubes and so forth. He is up and can walk around, rides an exercise bike and, most importantly, has been able to speak coherently with friends. He still has big gaps in his memory, but Larry has talked to him several times and he is starting to sound almost normal. He told Larry his weekend laptimes were "off the pace", that he fell "kinda' crumby", that the pasta he ate didn't agree with him! He also remembered Larry's phone # and asked to call him another time. Sounds like he is on the way back! They think he could be at home by early September. Truly remarkable for a guy who was so close to being black flagged. I'm sure that his recovery has been expedited by all the positive thoughts and prayers that have come from everyone and we hope to see him with us again someday soon. It will be a momentous occasion.
Thanks again
Jerry Randall"

I'm glad he's doing better. I know it was close there cor a while.
Excellent job with the auction guys. I never would've imagined that much money would be raised.
