Well, just picked up a Suomy Vandal with a free additional smoked shield for a killer price. I've tried one of these on before, and it fit very well. If it doesn't fit now for some reason, I have my current helmet to use, but for the price I got it with the extra shield, I say its worth the shot. Lets hope I don't ruin it too quickly...

Was told the last shipment they got was all dated sometime in Q4 2011, so I should be good to go.

The tire warmers showed up and Emma has the trailer nicely detailed. I think we just need to load up and hit the road now.

16 days...whoa mama. I got some stuff to do:

- finish trailer
- put on numbers
- new front lines
- rebuild rear master
- put on brake guard and extended bars
- Change oil/coolant

Was hoping to get my new (to me) exhaust on too, but that's been at Hindle for repair for the past two months. Plus, I don't have a PCIII or a map. I think I'll stick with the stock pipe for round 1 at least.

Now that I write it out....I'm not too far behind. It'll come together. I'm psyched!!

New (used, 1 track day, never crashed in) rev-it leathers today. Wasn't on the list, but they fit better and are just better in general than my current Joe Rocket set that had been crashed in. Plus, it was another good deal.

Bike is done, except for the sponsor stickers. I picked up the bodywork and forks and installed all.

Trailer came in and all I have to do there is bring it home from the barn where it's stored and fill it with the race goodies.

Plastics were finished and installed yesterday.
I still don't feel like greasing the trailer...

first weekend as an amatuer. maybe because its the first weekend of the season, first time on new bike, or first time racing with amateurs and experts but i can say im a bit NERVOUS

since you were good enough to get bumped its really not much different. I think you'll start from the back of the pack cause I think the first weekend is gridded based on last years points. and all you need to know about being lapped by the experts is to just hold your line like you would if they weren't there.

Wow Vanson delivered early for once. Last suit I ordered from them was ordered in Oct and arrived at the track Friday about 30min before I was due to ride.

Actually, almost half of the LW AM races now run with the Novices. The amateurs will the first waves in these events.
