Race whatever the hell you want. The LW thing is Fun at Loudon, I have ridden a 600 At Homestead and the 600 Class was fun as Hell. I found the 600 to Be a Handful at NHMS and I am much Happier on it then a 600. But you might Love it If the cost of tires dont scare you off, Go for it it works for alot of people. Just not me at Loudon

Why would that be funny?
Hey now what did I ever do to you?
I'll believe it when I see him on the grid... doubtful.
Unless they start Jim a wave or two ahead of me, it won't even be close to something you could call an actual 'race' between us anyways...
He'll probably just highside on pit out though.
He took penguin with me...

lol I agree. I do take racing pretty seriously, but I just want to do the best I can with it and personally love the MW class. At the end of the day you just have to find the balance that works best for you and your life. Some people enjoy racing lightweight and the low cost associated with it, some people don't mind spending the money to try and compete in a more tech/money driven competitive class. But I'm not about to quit my day job for it.
thats all it boils down to.
I don't really know anything about motorcycle racing yet, I am learning. I do know about costs, both time and $ to go racing. Everyone needs to try racing once. It's not for everyone, Do what you can afford and when you can't stop or change. I raced stock cars for years and I really don't want to know what it cost me per year to have 'fun'. It shouldn't matter what class your in, your racing and that's the bottom line. Some do it for fun, some for more. Sponorship is huge when you running a bigger class. They say to make a little money racing you need to start with a lot! A truer statement was never said. I look forward to meeting some of you next year, no matter what the class and maybe one or some of you will help me on my track day

only thing i've ever had on the grid was my R6 and the Triumph, turned some laps on a motard, couple different 600's, and a Kawi 650. Haven't had much opportunity to try different things....but I enjoy what I've got and who I race against a lot.
I'm not hating on LW classes at all, just saying to each their own....racing is racing and its fun....and there are a number of classes to go about doing it depending on what your particular tastes are.
This will settle everything.
You have a chance to get one of these on a UL-LW machine. Not so much on a MW-HW-UN machine. That is Wood's territory.
