So I put the 48 on and my shift patterns matched my '03 R6. Though the '06 would bog sometimes, at least the shifting was in a comfort zone for me to focus on the suspension. After I got the suspension sorted out towards the end of the season, the 48 felt good as long as wasn't following anybody (low to mid 16's with open track). The minute I got stuck behind somebody, however, I was stuck and couldn't get a decent drive out of any corner to keep up to try and make a pass on a slower rider going into the next corner. I wanted to try the 49 (again) but I had left it home in the parts box.

so its bogging w/ the 48? I have a 2nd gen style R6 so i'm not sure where the differences may lie in the ratios, but I know some of the faster guys would say just carry more corner speed if its bogging

when I switched to the 49 on my bike it was even suggested to me to run a 50 in the rear until I learned how to carry more speed through the major corners (like 6) then when I started toping out the tach on the drive switch to a 49 if that makes sense....y'know?
