What Chuck said. My fastest with stock 2nd gen SV forks with Racetech emulators installed was 22.0. Last year, I borrowed some SV tubes with custom cartridge internals(along with better brakes, to be fair) and reached 21.0. That led to me buying those forks.![]()

Best Part was Jeff rode the SV in a MWGP race and was on Greewoods heels for most of it, acutally tried to pass in the bowl I believe. I kept his time sheet as a motivation tool when I was racing my SV.
Things have gotten soft since Jeff left the scene.
That WAS on the old T1 config though. I know that it hasn't slowed the big bikes at all, but I do think it has slowed the lightweights. THey just can't recover the lost momentum from the tighter T1. It's 1 gear lower through 1, 1a, and 2 on the 125. That HAS to cost a half second or more.
Rick Doucette did a 16.8 in mwpt(bone stock) 15.9 on the ss bike and 13.8 on the superbike.... My fastest was a 18.1 on a supersport bike ... I'd love to do just do a 17 lol

Theres another guy who battled with Rick D in MWPT class, he was racing EX's I can't remember his name but he threw down some fast times as well on a basically stock SV..
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

I remember Jeff's 17.7 on the EX500. That was awesome. Bike was shiggling all over the place.
The 12.x on Doug Sheer's SV was rad. That SV was a monster mind you. Doug had LOTS of money in that bike. Motor was putting out big hp.. why it never ran all that much.
How about Jeff's 15.5 on the RMZ450 motard? 52hp. The bike I bought off him... lol. Annoying when my best lap on that was a low 19 and I'd go.. "okay 18 is doable, 17 would take some work, 15!?! FUCK THAT"
My best time on the SV was a 16.4. Probably the same race when Ricky did the 16.8. In MWPT Ricky and I would usually be in the low 17's. My bike (2001) has a completely stock engine (never been inside), stock exhaust, stock jetting and air filter. The suspension is a Penske rear and emulators in the front with 30 weight oil. Woodcraft Clip ons and rear sets. Stock rotors and stock Suzuki pads (I liked them the best). Changed gearing of course. That's about it.
I will say that doing those times I was completely hanging it out there. I never thought I would be able to hang with Ricky, let alone win, but to get into the 16's was like crashing but miraculously not in most of the back section. That's what it took, though. Pinning it through 8 with the front tire sliding toward the curbing in the entrance to 9. Forcing your throttle and brake hand to ignore your brain!
My SV is a bucking twitchy beast until you you push past all that and get it sliding. That's where the chatter and twitch goes away.
I can't tell you all how much I'm missing racing! Definately like quitting heroin I imagine. Hopefully I'll be back some day, just many factors right now keeping me away. Haven't sold the bikes yet, though!

holy fuck I figured out multi quote!
I could be wrong and I wouldn't put money on it but I pit right next to him. That bike is Doug's(on the Buell) old rain bike.
as far as LWSS, I don't think he likes DOT's, he made some comment to me about me racing on "street tires."
