I actually find it helps with throttle control. when I had a stock throttle I would have to reposition my hand so far forward that it would be in an uncomfortable position when leaning off the bike. having full rotation of the throttle without having to let go gives better control.

Learn how to hold the throttle properly.![]()
After riding Pete's 2nd gen, I noticed that I had to twist my throttle more than I had to on his. My old set up w/ the R6 tube was more than 1/4. It was more like 1/3 and in some instances, I didn't open the throttle WFO when I should have.

Yeah 1/3 is oo much.

I dig it Chuck...love seeing bikes simplified.
Yes, quicker turn throttles do make the throttle control more sensitive... however...
If I look at the full range of deflection of my wrist, I feel as though I have the best fine motor control in the middle, say, 80-90%. So say my wrist goes from 0* to 150*, the closer I get to the limits of deflection (0 or 150), the less fine motor control I have.
A quicker turn throttle, while making the throttle more sensitive overall, puts more of the throttle range within that middle 80-90% range (say 10-140* for example) where I feel like I have fine motor control.
That make any sense at all?

Crap. Some guys over on SVRider pointed out rules in certain organizations only allow kill switches on the handlebars.
CCS has this rule in its book:
5.2.2 All machines must have an operational handlebar mounted kill switch
or button. This switch must be easily identifiable by color or emblem for use
by safety crew members.
Do you think tech will have an issue with my triple-mounted one, which is clearly labeled?
i did the motion pro throttle kit Zoran sells, switch included and was a great improvement w the flat slides over stock w r6 tube
Nice job! Why don't you guys just rotate the throttle housing/tube forward to make use of the middle are of wrist rotation (Oreo's theory, which I agree with) and see how it feels. Assuming you've ground of the stupid pins in the housing--- don't forget to rotate the brake and clutch levers down.
because if you do that with the stock throttle you're not solving the problem. you're just shifting it from one end to the other. you're safer not being able to easily get to full throttle than you are not being able to fully shut off the gas when you get on the brakes.

If you have a two-digit number then, no, not at all.
Quite honestly Chuck, my thing has always been "why risk it?" I mean, sure you may get thru Loudon tech but surely you can't reliably depend on that happening every weekend and that is just based on the paragraph you posted from the rule book...that and are you really planning on limiting your race program to one track because of a stupid kill switch? Doesn't seem worth it at all, IMO.
Maybe save that switch position for pit lights if you ever decide to wire something like that up and go endurance racing....or maybe a Dukes of Hazzard horn or something
Not for nothing but if I walked over to your bike with that current setup, I'd be asking myself "do I need to flip the IGN then hit the KILL or what the hell is going on here??"
Just an outsider's perspective.

Rotating the throttle housing does nothing to decrease the amount of turn required to operate the throttle from 0%-100%.
If you've got a true 1/4 turn throttle then it takes 90* to go from 0%-100%. 90 degrees is 90 degrees is 90 degrees. Rotating the housing on the bar doesn't change that.

Your switches might be OK but that clean bike and shiny paint are going to suck you into the 1a tires like nobody's business.

I would have just left the handlebar switch but I see nothing wrong with your set up. I kinda like it a little better with the colors too, makes them stand out a little better and would be easy to identify them.
