Hello all,
I read the past post on the installation, and was wondering does this apply to the Gixxer 1000 as well. I picked up the "Suzuki GSXR1000 '07-08 BLACK - Complete Rearset Kit W/Shift & Brake Pedals".
Also, I was concerned that would I have to involve myself with bleeding the brakes at all. I'm relatively new doing most things to the bike, and this also will be a first, thanks for all the help you folks have been in the past![]()

What Mike said. You should have received a set of instructions with your kit that are fairly well detailed and easy to follow, and as always, please don't hesitate to call if you run into any issues or have questions.

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
No bleeding needed...I would flip them now and go GP but thats me. And they are realatively easy to do. But I would asemble them with some grease and use purple or blue loctite on the 10mm bolts that go to the frame as per the PDF insalation guide..
aslo are you going to use this bike for street duty???
but real easy.....

Thnx for the replys. I will be using for commuting, as well as the Track. And, Mike I'll see you this spring for a tire change, How's Daddy Kane doin?
Hi Pigman, I read in the intructions about "Flipping to GP" and "For GP Shift", also you mentioned in your reply as well. What does that mean?
GP shift means that you flip you shift pattern upside down. Pretty much instead of clicking up you click down to move forward to the next gear.

Thnx Dip, but there be no flippin on this bike, lolol. I don't need to add to my confusion. I thought that's what it might be, but didn't want to second guess anything when it comes to my Baby.
Have to say after going gp I will never go back just makes shifting that much more easier. Put it this way you are in full lean what seems easier shifting up with your boot or slapping that bitch down?
This is of course IMHO so yours may differ if you try it.

Yea....I wasnt a fan at first and now both my GSXR's are in GP shift....it kicks ass

There are a lot of gp shift bikes on the streets, I will never go back to standard shift.
