The big 3 say EVs are too hard to make, and therefore this is all too soon for America. Startup Rivian is doing great, so great that they're building another new EV factory. And Tesla is not only building 2 new factories, but also battery factores, to go along with their new semi-trucks. And Tesla just found a bajillion dollars for letting everyone use its supercharger network. Lucid is the only EV company that's struggling, but they still have Arab money, so cash flow doesn't really matter to them yet.
planning on flipping your cyber truck reservation purchase, think again, that's musk money...
Tesla will sue you for $50,000 if you try to resell your Cybertruck in the first year
https://www.businessinsider.com/tesl...t-year-2023-11
Mr. Freedom....Customers set to receive the first Tesla Cybertrucks this November will be prevented from reselling their vehicles during the first year, according to Tesla's terms and conditions.
Tesla added a section titled "For Cybertruck Only" to its Motor Vehicle Order Terms, which laid out the new rules.
"You agree that you will not sell or otherwise attempt to sell the Vehicle within the first year following your Vehicle's delivery date," it says.
"Tesla may seek injunctive relief to prevent the transfer of title of the Vehicle or demand liquidated damages from you in the amount of $50,000 or the value received as consideration for the sale or transfer, whichever is greater. Tesla may also refuse to sell you any future vehicles," it adds.
But if a customer has a good reason to sell their Cybertruck, Tesla may agree to buy it back at the original price minus "$0.25/mile driven, reasonable wear and tear, and the cost to repair the Vehicle to Tesla's Used Vehicle Cosmetic and Mechanical Standards."
If Tesla does not want to purchase the vehicle, it may then agree to let the customer sell it to someone else.![]()
Sounds like he knows it's a pile of shit and people are gonna want off them when the ether wears off...

If the F150 lightning and Rivian didn't exist, then I'm sure this wouldn't of been necessary.
But since it will be so far off the promised specs/details, it's gunna flop hard if people can flip them.
Just wait till the first influencer piece of shit gets their hands on one and does a clickbait Youtube review.

But it has to sell well enough to meet the scale of production. Price vs cost vs units sold are a dance and if the units sold don't dance with the other 2 then it fails. And I agree with almost everyone I know, it's ugly as fuck. It's like a honda ridgeline got fucked by a drawing of a robot I did when I was 4 and the baby ended up with downs.

I did like seeing the NEMA 14-50r in the bed. Wish my Rivian had that.

it's no Rivian off road, that's fo dam shure...
You guys are judging the thing for it's abilities
Meanwhile it will primarily sell as a status symbol. Double so since Elon doubled down on his political views and happens to align with all the truck brodozer dudes now.
It will sell BECAUSE it's stupid and forces others to look at it and talk about it, not despite it.
