So Rivian will build on 4695 lithium cells, which means they're going to directly compete with Tesla's 4680 cells. They're literally going to have a steel cage match.

Not sure it's much of a contest. RIVN is a much better car company then TSLA, especially at this stage in their life.

They're taking a lot of talent and lessons learned from TSLA and if they can manage their finances right they should be able to hit it out of the park.

What, you think is should run on dehydrated water? The SOC drawer of the encabulator has something to help with dilution ratio

I'm looking at the R1S with a NACS port. Even with the stupid J1772 its one hell of an SUV.

cost + wife the only things holding me back. being a VeeDub nut, that R3x speaks to me. it would be the jacked R (Golf Country redux) i've always wanted to build.

I'm lovin that R3x, IF it makes it to production that will more than likely be my 1st electric vehicle.

I'm really liking the Ioniq 5N, but it's larger than I need, this R3x is more true hatchback. And if they do actually offer it with the 3 motor set-up

Are any of these coming down in price or easier to get?
What would make a good work truck (towing a 7000# or less trailer)?

Saw a Cybertruck on the GWB in NY, what an ugly vehicle in person.

F150 is the best work and towing EV out of all EVs. Prices are falling and rising.

i work at a Hyundai store that is attached to a ford store. and im slightly holding out that one of these with the bigger battery can be had for under 50K later this year.
I do alot of towing on the weekend but its less than 5,000 lbs and usually less than 100 miles round trip, so this might work for me. but the problem is the charging network here sucks. apparently ford is just being let onto the tesla network so in theory this could work for me.

They are converting to the NACS ports and they're offering free adapters to current owners through April I believe.
