Sweden is roughly the same size as California and has a third the population. It's also one of the most socially progressive countries.
They think differently then the average American and swim more in the same direction. IKEA just announced price decreases even when faced rising costs because it's the right thing to do. Good luck getting an American company to do that.
That said, pretty sure there are more EVs in CA then there are in Sweden.

Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I know that's one of my big priorities for a vehicle purchase, can I lounge in the frunk
whereas I bet porsche wasted all of that space with additional cooling capabilities and duplicate systems for durability and driving enjoyment....silly car MFG...
It is wasted, not being sarcastic, from a buyer perspective. They did much worse packaging compared to Tesla, Lucid, Rivian, and even the Ford Mustang. If buyers are coming from something that has huge frunk space and then decide to upgrade their EV, it better fit more than before.

Plug ins are as much as 75% of new sales. Due to HUGE tax incentives. Keep in mind Swedish population is roughly that of CT+MA.

“It's 2 minutes for any capable adult.”
What I find interesting about that is that plug ins are the vast majority. It makes me wonder how many people actually plug them in vs utilize them as more of a big battery hybrid.
I know if I was shopping for a new car and I got fat rebate to buy a plug in version of a hybrid instead I would do that. A full EV is a different story.

Mrs LuvDog got a PHEV for her new car. So far it's been great. Just over 3 months in, and 2 round trips to NYC and all the other driving and she's only put gas in it twice.

^ this
I think they have a plug in Escape IIRC
Still, 40mpg in a pickup is baaaaad asssness. I’m enjoying the truck minus the “slam” it makes when switching from regen to conventional braking at low speeds

Make it a PHEV with AWD with a base model priced around $25k and top tier at $45k and it would check a lot of boxes…and take a year to build each one LOL

If it's like Jeep, they ship by train first, so you have to wait for a large enough batch of vehicles going your way before it'll move.
When I got my truck in 2022 the trucks built over the border we're taking months after being built. The ones built here showed up in a few weeks. No idea if shipping/customs bs is better or worse now but it might be quite a while.
