thnx, man. hope to get out with you at least once this season!
agreed, was anxious to bust her in! thing was way too shiny. got freaked out thinking we rode through concrete dust though! hahaa.
we're so in love with the van, thing absolutely rules. we've been using the trailer for the bikes behind it but Sun was my first time trying the carrier out. kinda shocked that carrier is still as solid as the day i bought it, going on 16 years. i did have to use my drop hitch adapter to move the bike out and away from the back window but such a great setup for solo action.

that's wild! thanks for sharing, Mark... i knew you had a few friends into Beta over there, is the franchise a new endeavor that grew from just being riders?
would be cool to see that display lit up ... the 'bleed pipe' or extra chamber thingie (thin tube just after header inlet) is intriguing. know what that does or where it goes? looks like a 125cc pipe (?)

I’ll have to ask about the thin tube, that’s where the wire goes in that powers the lights now.. lol
Yes, he started out just riding, then started selling parts, then bikes. There 3 or 4 on his race team, they actually just got back from Rome the week prior to my trip there. They were all riding Xtrainers there

time for some maintenance on this thing, finally over 100hrs (fuck kids sports ! chainsaw > finger accident didn't help with seat time either) so she's in need of some lovin'
got her dolled up before the snow, nice 'n snug in the office now.
think the winter list is looking something like this:
- baseline compression test
- top end refresh, prob use a ProX cast piston again or maybe a Wossner forged, on the fence
- new NGK iridium plug
- new VForce reeds
- shim the needle by a 1/2 clip leaner
x front tire still decent, replaced last winter
x rear tire is fresh, installed in Sept
- TUbliss rear red liner was SHOT. must be from ultra low pressures but was surprised to find it in that condition. ran it anyway, no issues, but it's gonna go
- new DID MX chain
- new ProX front sprocket
- new brake pads front + rear
- fresh brake bleed
- fresh clutch bleed
- cooling system flush + fresh Engine Ice
- new ProTaper loc-on grips
- new grip donuts (can't believe the Misfits are still going strong)
- new elastomers for the XTrig PHDS mounts
- repack the DEP shorty i made, it's f'n stuck together so i threw the Scalvini carbon back on
- fresh Twin Air filter
- check and lube axles
- shock linkage service
x replaced clutch fibers in May so i'm good there
TUbliss damage, this was the orig red liner from '22. i blew the inner liner at some point in '23 or '24 i think. i keep spares now.
clutch out.. .
new fibers going in. everything looked fine but i slip the clutch constantly

Bout that time of year!
That is an interesting wear pattern on the tubliss. Wonder if the wear marks line up with where the center knobbies on the tire were located when the tire was mounted. Super low pressure on the tire side of things would allow the places where the knobs were to deflect further towards the rim/tubliss tube when rolling. Perhaps that larger deflection allowed the inside of the tire to rub on those spots on the tubliss.
yeah, that's gotta be the reason but how strange, those liners seem super tough. i guess it has been in there a while but know i've changed the tire a few times, nuts to have it line up again perfectly (?) now that i think about it, i had the tire off to replace the high-pressure bladder and didn't see any of that wear. there was a shitload of rubber 'dust' that came out as well.
think i've had 4 new TUbliss kits and never saw that kind of wear before but something to keep an eye on. have a new liner ready to go in.
