- the horn is going to be a riot on the trail
first up on the mod list

THAT, is nice.
LOVE the red frame, the black and polished swingarm is cool too! What's up with the funky down and up bend on the shifter? Just for looks or there a purpose? Gorgeous bike man.
Yum.

Where'd you find a Beta dealer again?
Knight Chevy/cycle in southbridge
why yes, it is. you shoulda seen the size of my dump this morning. friggin' BTs Smokehouse!
thanks, guys. i'm pumped to break it in. reg'ing it tomorrow for MA ORV then hit the trails to see what needs tweaking.
bryco, on shift lever, not sure but probably bolt head access + some flair (?) Biggles has it, Knight Cycles in Southbridge. i've been watching this bike for a year or so. finally bit the bullet.
more observations: the trans oil drain bolt is on the right side, no skid plate removal needed (starter motor directly under). thank you Italian Jesus.

That thing is pretty sick looking. Nice!
Interesting that you note your hydro clutch is tough pull. The hydro on my 250sx is pretty easy. Do love the hydro over cable!
Certainly is a sexy beast. Curious how the suspension feels in the rough stuff. Most need some toning down for the New England terrain. You'll have to let us know the final verdict.
Sweet ride........would love to rip one of there 2015 500 RS Beta

yeah, way tougher than my WR. it's smooth but not as easy to pull. think it's tougher than my hydro TC clutch was too. maybe it will break in after some miles? i dont remember the TC ever changing.
me too, prob ride today or tomorrow. i'm being told the front will be OK but the rear spring will be too soft making the front push. will post first ride impressions.
i dont ride in the woods without handguards... looks it's going to be tricky to mount my EE's. not much room with the hydraulic lines and street gear. it comes wired for everything, complete with switches on left bar, starter on right, but only a headlight, dash, tail light, horn on the bike. (which i removed for now, except the horn. i cant wait to honk that shit on rides)

they go with the WR... otherwise they'd be going to you![]()

Clinton - That Beta looks *really* nice. As you may recall, I *almost* chose the 350 or 400 RS over my 350 EXC. I am very happy with the mileage that FI gives me (100 miles on the stock tank!), but carburetor simplicity (and the lower seat height) had me considering a Beta.
I am in no way disappointed with my KTM, but I am waiting anxiously for your Beta review - particularly the Sachs suspension components. I have read good things about the TFX 48mm forks.
The spring situation is exactly the way my xc came.
It actually wasn't too bad until you really started pushing, and then it would start to deflect and end up pointed in weird directions. Midwest make a clutch lever for that? Or a rekluse...you know you want it.

will do. my right hand is almost freed up to help hold the camera steady
thanks, greg. i'll post a full report.
i guess swapping the 4.8 to a 5.0 or 5.2 will be a big improvement. we'll see but i can source a 5.2 cheap
thanks for the reminder on Midwest... i was just about to search and forgot the name of the company
mmm, LHRB + Rekluse

What are the spring dimensions? I have a 5.3 in a blue flavor.
thanks, Eddie. i've already got a line on a 5.2 but if that doesn't work out i'll let you know.
