2004 Triumph Daytona 955i, has electrical power, but will not start. $1500

I’m assuming the owner means it cranks, but does not fire?…. Any thoughts to what the issue might be?

IIRC that gen EFI uses an external to the throttle bodies idle air control valve. The piston plastic gets brittle and breaks as do the corrugated plastic tubes from the throttle bodies to the IAC assembly. When it fails it turns into a giant air leak. That would make it hard to start, though it'd likely catch and cough with heavy throttle use?

was going ask the seller if it actually is cranking or not. If it’s not cranking maybe it’s just a side stand switch?

I've been eyeing that vfr. Best year and best colors. I had one as my first bike. Much, much better than the ninja 250 but parts are hard to find if not impossible now.
